Welcome to Meldorf
Meldorf provides self contained, self catering or bed and breakfast accommodation for 2 to 4 people in North Berwick, East Lothian.
The accommodation is attached to the main house which is occupied by the owner of Meldorf. It has its own entrance door, a large bedroom/living room with a separate bathroom and kitchen.
To the rear of the property there is a south facing garden with use of children's toys plus patio furniture and lovely open views. A BBQ is available. There is also parking on the driveway.
Bed and Breakfast
Breakfast is provided for you in your private kitchen ajoining your room, so that you can help yourself at whatever time suits. If you require dinner, there are good local restaurants (walking distance) and we are happy to make a booking if required. Alternatively you have full use of cooking facilites in the private kitchen ajoining your room.
Accommodation
The bedroom/lounge is very spacious and has twin beds, a large bed/settee and a table and chairs. There is a flat screen TV with Freeview and a DVD/CD player.
The kitchen is light and airy and fitted with:
- Hob
- Fridge
- Microwave oven
- Washing machine
Location
Meldorf is ideally situated on the western side of North Berwick and there are open fields to the front and rear.
It's a short walk from Meldorf to the town centre and the train station, with a frequent, daily service to Edinburgh. There is also access to the nearby west beach.
About North Berwick
North Berwick is a small coastal town on the east coast of Scotland about 25 miles from Edinburgh.
It is an ideal holiday location with a varied range of activities to meet the needs of people of all ages.
There are two golf courses in the town and 4 more close nearby at Gullane and Whitekirk. The West Course in the centre of North Berwick is a stunning championship course and is widely regarded as one of the best links courses in Scotland.
The Scottish Seabird Centre is located at the harbour in the centre of North Berwick. The Seabird Centre is an award winning 5 star visitor attraction with a Discovery Centre, shop and cafe.
North Berwick is also an ideal location for a walking holiday and it is on the John Muir Way, a 73 km continuous coastal path linking Edinburgh to the Scottish Borders.

Self catering tariff
Bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday. Shorter booking are possible depending on availability.
Peak Season Easter to September 09 rate - £270/week including utilities.
A non-returnable £100 deposit secures a booking. The balance is due on entry. Payment by cheque in Pounds Sterling (GBP).
Bed & breakfast tariff
£35 to £45 per person per night based on two people sharing and including breakfast. £50 single occupancy.
